Propylene glycol is a widely used polyol, propylene glycol is normally a colorless viscous liquid, almost tasteless, fine smell slightly sweet. Propylene glycol can be used as a raw material of unsaturated polyester resin and as a wetting agent in cosmetic skin care products.

Cosmetic grade propylene glycol, such as commonly used ointment, mask, lotion, facial cleanser, essence, makeup remover, moisturizing lotion and plant extract can be seen this ingredient. Generally, it is the hydrophilic moisturizing ingredient commonly found in makeup remover. The real effect is to help dissolve dirt and avoid skin drying too quickly during makeup remover. It is also often used in toners and essences.
